........to everyone for their support and kindness to us during the loss of our Sammy.
Life is slowly finding a new routine without him. Maggie and Lulu initially were bereft - Maggie and particular - but they seem to have accepted that Sammy just isn't here anymore.
I think I have yet to make that adjustment.
As fate would have it, the same week that we lost our Sammy, our neighbors brought home a new puppy named Skippy, a Schipperke full of energy and a zest for life.
He is quickly becoming a favorite playmate for doggie gatherings in our back yard and a welcome diversion to our loss.
Helooooooooo, Skippy! Welcome to your new home!

I'm glad you have little Skippy in your lives right now!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear from you Julia.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how life works, no? Seems like Skippy was born to heal. Perhaps the beginning of a therapy dog.
Belly rubs to the girls, Skippy and all my best to you.

Hi Julia,
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss and that I'm late in coming by during your times of difficulties. I'm sure time will help you make the necessary adjustments.
Hugs,
Diana
Hi Julia - those we've lost never really leave us, they live on in our memories and hearts and Sammy will live forever! It just takes the humans a bit longer to adjust is all.
ReplyDeleteSkippy is cute and we're pleased he's taking the sting out of losing Sammy - Sammy would have approved of this we feel!
